Oakland: Lesbian/Bi Single Mingle: May 11th and June 8th, 6:00pm All Ages

Date a person, not an app.

Do you want to meet more women, actually have conversations with them and not have to yell over the music? Then this event is just for you.

Specifically for women of all types, age 40+, Lesbian/Bi Single Mingle is open to all women looking for a woman lover. We are genderqueer, non-binary and trans-inclusive.

How a “Single Mingle” Works

BEFORE THE EVENT….

You will receive an email or text with a link to your *CONFIDENTIAL* single mingle profile. If you do not receive an email or text, there is no need to worry–You will receive it when you check in.

In your CONFIDENTIAL/NOT AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC profile, you will be asked to provide 2 short answers related to where you fall on the masculine/feminine expression spectrum and where your preferred date falls on the same spectrum. Add the preferred age-range of your potential dates, and you’re all set.

The texting algorithm is designed to match your preferences as best as it can given who is in attendance and their selected preferences.

EventHostBecky

DURING THE EVENT….

Our Event Host, Becky, will check you in, answer any questions, get you settled and make sure your phone is all set up to receive the event texts.

After each 5-7 minute round, you will receive a text message directing you to your next date. The more women that attend, the better! And while it’s not full matchmaking, this text messaging technology allows a more tailored experience than random, public speed dating.

At the end of each date, you’ll add “feedback” about your date (“2nd date,” or “friend” or “business”). When two singles indicate the same level of interest, we email you both with contact information.

AFTER THE EVENT…

Event Host, Dr. Frankie, will text and email you a link, within 24 hours, to your “matches.” You can match as “2nd date,” “friend” or “business.” Only if two people indicate the same level of interest, will a match be made.

For example, if you indicate “2nd date,” and she indicates “friend,” = no match.  If you both indicate “friend,” = match.
The rest is up to you.

Yelp Reviews from previous attendees

I recently attended a speed dating event, and so far, it’s been an enjoyable experience being face to face and talking to so many ladies… – Tina G, Redwood City

…Painless and, actually, way more fun than I expected, I found something enjoyable in each of the thirteen 5-minute conversation blips… Lu K., Berkeley

I attended my first speed dating event and I had a great time! There were approximately 45 women present and I had 12 dates. I made a bunch of new friendships and a couple possible dates. – Danielle, Walnut Creek
